I hope the relatives get a good reospnse from the secretary of state. Don't see why it should take three months though.All this work that people do in search of truth and justice yet an MP speaking in the common's can put any topic on the mainstream agenda in five minutes.Why? why always the shit end of the stick for Irish nationalists. Always struggle and strife and unresolved grevience etc....?Why aren't SF in London doing the job they are elected to do properly, so we don't always have to contend with the shit end of the stick.Some kind of pride and an inability to face up to reality.

I remember Bloody Sunday so well and wodner why the media chose to give little account of the Ballymurphy massacre.It was a long struggle for the Derry families to get closure and why not the same for the Ballymurphy families.Im also saddened that with all the scandals in the Catholic Church that they dont seem to have any input especially as a Priest was murrdered while giving the last rites.Cardinal Conway was at his funeral in Corpus Christie.Was that the Catholic church,s total input.Did they help the families especially the murdered mother of 8children.This should not be a long struggle now as the Govt has seen the resiliance of the Derry families that they cant and wont be allowed to put British interests first.The truth from the British Govt and for them to take responsibility is the way foreward.Sending a minister to meet the families in a stuffy room in Stormount, whilst wearing an RIR wristband is an absolute isult and discrace.What support are the Families getting from Sinn Fein,the Irish Govt etc.Maybe they are getting good support from the previous mentioned.We all love the peace we have today but we cannot forget the Ballymurphy peoples right to truth and closure.May God guide us all in the right way regarding this unresolved massacre.Justice and closure for the families of the Ballymurphy people is a basic human right.Could the Catholic Church please note only if you are doing nothing as Ive read nothing from you.God Bless All Joe

I'm try ing to trace my Beattie family. My g g g -grandfather James Beattie born in London and come to Australia and sorry but that is all I know of him. Apparently he may have been a mraenir. Does this connect with your information. Thanks

This is a legal issue! Stealing is still a crime along with breach of fiairudcy responsibility by the NFLPA Leadership. The issues are disability and pensions! Until they are in harmony with ERISA Law and refrain from being illegal, we as retired players will drag the NFLPA Leadership into federal court and file a class action law suit. However, in the mean time attorney Jeffery Kessler who represents our crooked union will continue to make millions of dollars through the appeals and over whelming defeats. If the NFLPA Leadership is above the law then so be it. However, these scoundrels continue to steal from retired players and attempt to white wash their dirty deeds.A GAO (Government Accountability Office) audit will expose the FRAUD that is pervasive throughout the NFLPA Leadership. After the interviews, they will be transported to the County Jail. It's very routine.It would not surprise me if the Coroner/Medical Examiner finds high levels of narcotics in his system. There are many documented cases of suspects fleeing (running) from the police, and later suffering cardiac arrest. Ingestion of narcotics with the intention to conceal can be deadly or near death due to overdose. Adrenaline , stress and physical activity can also be deadly. Smith did a lot of running and jumping which was captured on film. Another possibility is pre-existing ailment or condition. Running, jumping and stumbling through yards, he very well could have injured himself or caused internal damage. A broken rib, damaged organ think John Ritter and his aortic dissection. The level of cooperation that is being operated upon is not only shaky but potentially false. You are spot on and it's not isolated to minority cultures. You'll find this mentality in areas of high poverty. You'll find the very same attitude in poor White areas such as Rio Linda and North Highlands. There are plenty of white citizens who are extremely hostile toward Law Enforcement. Witnesses will intentionally give false information or no information at all. I wouldn't be too gtliuy. If a VC is using a single blog post to justify passing on an investment then they were looking for an excuse. That kind of reaction should really tell you something if the VC community isn't excited about your opportunity then maybe VC funding is not the way to go.

I, most certainly, do not shed a tear for him.The fact that he was imprisoned was a result of his own chosen actions. His death likewise. Hi There, After a brief reading of your blog I am sure we are reealtd. I am Robin Beattie's daughter. I think our fathers are cousins. We may have met when we were children, I am not sure. I have done a lot of family history on my mum's side, but I am just getting started on the Beattie side of things. I am from the United States. My ancesters were a Beattie from England that Married a Lewis from Wales. They emtgraied to Northern Ireland Tyrone Co. Sadly they fell victim to smallpox there and died. The children were then raised by the Beattie side of the family there. Upon reaching the age of 18 their estate was settled by their children having their voyage paid to Australia. Each child made it safely except for my ancestor. He was in a shipwreck and floated on the wreckage into the U.S.(So the story goes). He refused to go to sea again after the ordeal. Coincidentally he encountered a girl he had known in Tyrone co and they ended up marrying. They were James Lewis and Anna Hood. My dead end with family tree always hits a dead end at the Beattie(I think Mary but don't have family tree materials in front of me)Lewis union. Most likely because they died so suddenly, had recently moved, and the other siblings went to Australia. I do have more pictures, stories, and artifacts that could be of interest to those related also

If you're ignored in Tyneside then in N.I you simply *do not exist*. Case in point : Hospital services in Tyrone Fermanagh. My parents house (which is in rural Tyrone, but on a main road) used to be 25 minutes from the nearest emergency care in Dungannon. It used to be 30 minutes in the other direction to Omagh Hospital. Now neither of those hospitals exist, and it's an hour in an ambulance to *Craigavon* before you get to an emercency facility. People in Tyrone and Fermanagh were made to launch horribly destructive and bitter campaigns for the provision of one new hospital to cover 2 counties. Fermanagh won , but everyone missed the point. We should have been given two hospitals- one general+acute and one decent acute hospital to stop people dying in Ambulances all the way down the M1 to Belfast. Any appeals to the sources of funding in London fell on deaf ears. No-one in Stormont has the power to give these areas what they need, which is *two* decent hospitals. People in Tyrone and Fermanagh have been *royally* shafted facilities are worse than they were in the early 90s, and there's nothgin anyone can do about it. Now, to come back to my point- we couldn't come even close to making national news in a population of 60 million. There was zero political pressure on the people holding the purse strings. If this was a 32 county, 5 million person country then the political waves would have been that bit larger- 200,000 people's voices have a chance of being heard in Dublin where they were a distant echo in London. It's a question of being part of an indifferent and culturally distinct U.K or a smaller, united Ireland.
